3 Ways To Take Back Your Day

You know when you’re having a good day and all of a sudden something happens that completely throws you off track?

Someone cuts you off on the interstate,

Your boss gives you a huge project to get done, or

Your alarm never goes off.

You don’t have to let one small moment ruin your entire day!

Take a deep breath and try one of these 3 ways to take back control of your day.

1. Organize a small space

The key is to pick a small space that won’t take much time, but that you’ll be able to organize/clean up in a short amount of time.

I think we all have that chair that has all of our clothes piled on it! There’s something so refreshing about cleaning up one spot and that helps you feel more in control of your day!

Plus it means you will finally hang up those clothes that have been sitting on the chair for who knows how long!

2. Brush your teeth

This one seems weird…but how much better do you feel about your day when your mouth is minty fresh?!

Seriously though, the next time you are feeling like things are out of your control - brush your teeth. You’ll feel so much better!

And do the full two minutes…you deserve it!

3. Move your body

You don’t even really have to move that much to get the benefits from this one! You could go on a walk, take a dance break, or even just do some stretching from your chair.

The important thing is to move your body and allow yourself to focus on how your body feels in that moment.

Bonus: Get Outside

I don’t know what it is, but fresh air just makes every challenge seem less intimidating!

Even if you don’t have time for a full walk outside, take some time to go outside and take 4 deep breaths.

Breathe in 4 counts, hold for 4, and release for 4.

Remember, you can take back control of your day! Don’t let one moment highjack your entire 24 hours.

You got this friend! 💕
